Walk in the heart of Constable country, along the Essex
Way and Stour Valley Path, part of the Dedham Vale AONB. Many places of interest, incl tea stop at Flatford Mill.
Mainly flat with some short climbs.
Meet Liverpool Street stn. Buy OPDR to Manningtree. Norwich train dep 9.30, Stratford 9.38, arr Manningtree 10.31.

WEDNESDAY 24th OCTOBER: EVENING WALK IN MAYFAIR

Part of the Grosvenor estate, this area took its name from the
‘May Fair’ – an annual two week long fair of ‘vice’ and ‘impu
rities’ held until well into the 19th century. How things change!
It is now one of the most expensive districts in London and the world.
Meet 18.30, Marble Arch tube station outside the exit at the corner of Park Lane and Oxford Street (outside the Marriott Hotel). Distance: 2 miles. Pub visit afterwards if desired. Leader: Dominique
